St Isaac the Syrian on of the desert fathers and Saints. His scroll writes one of my favorite quotes: Love silence above all things, {because it brings you near the fruit that the tongue cannot express.}

The painting was executed in 300grms acid free watercolor canson paper measuring approx as an A4 (21x30 cm) The medium was mixed Chinese Ink black with purple details acrylics

I always wondered in what point does  a simple drawing becomes the face of a Saint- and tried to figure it out in a series of drawings. I chose this  Saint with the quote : Love silence above all things [because it brings you near the fruit that the tongue cannot express]
