St Euphrosynos and the apples from heaven- painting of Saint Efrosynos patron of cooks Byzantine art and traditional iconography of Greece by angelicon
Saint Euphrosynos the cook found, in the middle of the night, in Heaven, holding a branch of heavenly apples. On top his name Aghios Efrosynos - is written in Greek. He is dressed in simple clothes and his features are somehow rough as his story dictates.
The size of the painting is 18x25cm approx and is painted with the byzantine manner -with eggtempera and coper gold. The plywood board is thin (only 9mm thick)- The icon is packaged and send as a gift with its own wrapping and some mini extras from our shop
