Saint Pachomius and the Angel-Venerable Pachomios the Great Desert father - orthodox art and iconography OOAK driftwood painting wall hanging

The founder of Coenobitic Monasticism Venerable  Pachomius  painted in piece of driftwood that was found on the shores of my island, Crete, St Pachomius is receiving the rules of Coenobitc Life by an Angel of the Lord that wears the monastic tonsure and holds a scroll that is rougly translated as "By this schema (monastic) all flesh is saved, O Pachomius"

An original painting in an uneven beachwood treated specially in order to be painted with eggtempera-  The curvature and the lines of the driftwood are followed -  The piece is perfect for the icon corner and also has a metal hanger on the back

Size can be seen in relation with my hand in the pics and is 19x5cm approx on its longer sides
