Sacred Heart of Jesus- Miniature icon of sagrado corazon prayer corner religious gifts and ornaments

Although distant from my tradition I have a "thing" for hearts: beating, bleeding, flaming, pierced ....  I really like the imaging of the  Sacred heart of Jesus 

The Sacred heart, is painted in vivid colors following the traditional egg-tempera technique, in a small re-purposed wooden  panel -from an old wooden toy that was specially treated to acquire a surface for painting  The background is guilded with copper gold. Finally the colors are "sealed" with layers of protective varnishes

The mini icon measures in size: 6cm x 8 cm
