Made to order 5x7" byzantine icon of St. Photini the Samaritan Woman- Contemporary religious art and holy icons

A Made to order, byzantine icon of St Photini or Photine the Samaritan woman  represented in a contemporary manner, wearing the traditional covering for her head. The background is blue like in church frescoes. Her name : I Aghia Foteini is to be written in Greek with byzantine characters

Sizing - The specially prepared plywod panel  would measure 5x7" approx and 10 mm thick

Making- The icon will be hand painted with egg tempera.The style and colours used will be similar with the older work of angelicon you see in the pic (but not identical, every brushstroke is unique).  The egg tempera will be applied in layers and on  top of them shellac (goma laca) and a final layer of the traditional wax varnish  is to be used to permanently seal the colours and produce an artifact that will last

Schedule- It usually takes me about two weeks to prepare the wooden panel, apply colours and varnishes and have them completely dried and ready. *Pictures of the  completed icon will be send along the process.
