An icon with one of the most popular themes concerning the life of the Saint George, the image where he  slays the dragon. Its origins can be traced back to the romantic ages with knights and princesses, and further back  to Cappadocia in Asia Minor,  and even be found deep to the collective subconscious where stories about the Hero still exist.

Size: The  panel measures 22x28 cm approx. It is about 15mm thick and comes with a hanger on the back

The technique used for painting is egg tempera- That is mineral powders mixed with egg and vinegar applied on the gessoed wooden panel. After the colors have "rested" we apply shellac and resin varnish to create an artifact that lasts.
